Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment
Have you ever heard of the book Maximum Ride by James Patterson? Well if you haven't, grab a ride to the library or book store, plop down on the couch, and start reading.
This book not only has adventure but at the end of every chapter James Patterson leaves a sentence that makes you want to read the book more. Usually at the end a chapter in other books I get tired and don't feel like reading anymore. This is not what I feel with Maximum Ride. I finished the book within an hour, and trust me it's pretty long. It's good for when your bored and have nothing to do so you can finish it and read the next book in the series.
Maximum Ride or better known as Max, is a a fourteen year old girl. Not a normal one. She doesn't worry about tests, report cards,  or if she's popular (she doesn't even go to school). She worries about her life. The life that is in danger. Unlike normal fourteen year old girls, this one can fly. Yes, you heard me, fly, with wings.
Half-human half-avian Max and her gang (in a way her family but not blood related) - Fang, Iggy, Nudge, The Gasman, and Angel were made in a lab by horrible white coats. They created them as an experiment that made them only 98% human and the other two percent avian. They grew up in a prison called "The School." None of the flock members had real parents until Jeb Batchelder took them away from the School and became their father... but after a while he disappeared or in other circumstances dead.
Now Angel the youngest member of the gang has been kidnapped by the Erasers. Yes, Erasers half-human half-wolf , and as James Patterson would say, all predator. They want to kill the flock or in their case six mutant freaks. Angel has been taken back to the School to be experimented on. Now Angel's life depends on Max. Will she be able to make it in time?
Well, flying with the wings would be every child's dream, but the responsibility of your life and others would be something anyone would pass any day. Why, were too lazy to pick-up garbage from the floor, risking your life for others,  forget it.
Not only does Max need to find Angel but find out about their real parents. With our friends, family, no mysteries about our past, present or future, and no need to worry about Erasers on our tail, our life is as sweet as cookie dough to Max.
So... are you going to join Max's nightmare and the ride of your life?

  1. Hi Nimra: Just wanted to let you know that you write very well. I can see a budding author or a journalist in the making. It is never too early to pursue professional writing. Go for it.
