"The Last Book In the Universe"
Rodman Philbrick
The last book in the universe, made by Rodman Philbrick. This book is about a young boy named Spaz, trying to save his sister's life, and with a old man change the world they are living in now. They doubt that the back times even existed, they are changed. The world they live in is not even Earth, and Ryter the old gummy is the last book in the universe. Books don't exist, but Ryter loves books keeps talking about it. Will Spaz agree and go on with the book or is he just part of the world who forgot about books and used probes? (A needle you can keep in your head and you'll see a picture playing in your mind.)
I think this is a excellent book, and it shows how a book can change the world. It shows how a brother has so much love for his sister. It shows how prejudice is wrong. How we can never forget a books, no matter what happens. The end left you hanging, leaving questions about what was going to happen next. I felt bad for Spaz in the end, though I still require people who would love adventure to read this book.
So... if you want to read this book, go to the library and grab the book. Soon you'll find yourself lost in the book of a young man with many adventures. Adventures you have to read about! Adventures for me to know and for you to find out.

Nimra,
ReplyDeleteI read The Last Book In The Universe too.I have to agree it is amazing. When you just started to read the book you just wanted to read more and more. Its like an adventure you take place in and you anticipate what is going to happen next.It was confusing at first though because you couldn't understand what was happening.Later on you understood.I like your description on the book.It captures someones attention.I also agree about how you feel bad for Spaz.It was a great post. Keep on blogging!
